Lodging at the Barn
When not hosting events, The Barn serves as a short term rental property that allows up to 10 guests to experience a unique, rustic vacation. We've worked hard to preserve that experience, while delivering some modern conveniences and comforts. Large groups of family or friends find the Barn to be a perfect space to unwind, catch up, yet still be close to town and all of the activities that Luray has to offer. Cabin Overview and Amenities
The Space
Four bedrooms fit up to ten guests (one king room, two queen rooms, and a bunk room with four singles). There are two full bathrooms - one on the main floor and one upstairs (basement queen room does not have bathroom access on same floor).
The Basics
Fresh linens and towels are provided for the number of guests you designate, along with basic bath necessities. Cooking essentials, dish and glassware, utensils, and a coffee maker are also provided in the fully updated kitchen.
Recreation
Two kayaks, two canoes, and several inner tubes are all provided for your enjoyment. We have indoor basketball, ping pong, a pool table, volleyball, badminton, cornhole, and more. There is a 6-person hot tub, cleaned and treated before every stay. We also have an outdoor firepit with complimentary firewood provided.
Connectivity
The Barn is equipped with 300mbs Comcast Xfinity high speed internet, with coverage of the full interior, deck, and upper lawn. There is cell service with most major carriers on the property, though it can be spotty in certain areas (down by the river, for example). Lastly, we do not have cable TV service, but have a Roku for movie and game nights.
Please note...
The rec room containing the pool table and ping pong table is not air conditioned or heated. In warmer months, it's like playing in the shade, and in winter months it can get chilly. All living quarters, kitchen, dining, tv room, and bathrooms are air conditioned and heated. The Barn is very secluded, which also means...you're in the wilderness! There are bugs around, and sometimes those bugs get into the rec room, particularly when the doors are left ajar. Other local wildlife includes a large family of deer, rabbits, geese, muskrats and a great blue heron that likes to hang out by the dock!
